Most of the visual research for this assignment was done offline.
The visual development work is here.
Review of progress
It feels like the final draft pulls together the different research strands into a logical flow. The first draft was 7500 words so I had to edit out large chunks and I’m fairly pleased with the heavily edited version.
The realisation that I have freedom to use the pandemic diary content assets more freely and combining these with my daily notebook doodles has been a real joy and I feel like I’ve been given permission to express myself in a more authentic way.
New visual work
Since the gap between handing in Assignment 3 has been a few weeks there has not been a huge amount of new work. What I’ve been focusing on is extending the rules based approaches from the visual experiments into silkscreen prints and risograph prints that will form the final outputs.
The following images are digital mockups of prints that are currently work in progress.
