The third lesson explored working inventively with mark making.

Part 1

A fun exercise using different genres of music to inspire making different marks.

Part 2

I thought drawing plants of different sizes, shapes and textures would be a good subject to explore creative marking.

The day and cold and damp so I headed for the the Palm House, an enormous green house, full of tropical plants.

Location 1 – Wisley Gardens

Location 2 – The National Gallery

The second location was the National Gallery cafe during Friday night late opening. I feel disappointed with these images. They’re not capturing the ambition I had for the drawings.

Practice and more practice!
